Welcome to PianoLessonLiz! Taking piano lessons online is a wonderful way to learn to play piano and keyboard from your own home. I have taught piano lessons at a music studio for many years. My studio piano lessons are now available online!

Who We Are |
I have taught piano/keyboard lessons for 20 years to children ages 5 and up and to adults of all ages. I love teaching children and adults in a positive, encouraging and patient atmosphere to bring out each student's best! I enjoy teaching children with a variety of personality types and believe lessons should be fun while being educational. I love teaching beginners and those returning to lessons later in life. I work on an individually focused lesson plan to fit each student's needs and interests. I use method books, creative learning methods and also let students pick music they are interested in learning. I have often been recommended for students that are shy or more sensitive. I continue to study new teaching techniques and educational materials. I have always loved the piano and aspire to bring this love and joy of making your own music in the moment to each student! |
My History

I have been playing piano since I was 7 years old and had many years of formal piano lesson training. I received a BA in Music and Arts Administration from Columbia College in Chicago. I played in a pop group and was an accompanist for several groups including various college and high school choral groups and solo singers. After graduating, I began teaching piano lessons at a music studio and built up to 40 students a week with a waiting list. I love the piano and I love teaching others to love it too. It's never too late to start!
